Kitten Rescued From Storm Drain in Southern Arizona

he Arizona Humane Society (AHS) said it rescued a kitten from a storm drain in Chandler, Arizona, on Wednesday, June 15.

After a report that a kitten was stuck in a storm drain, emergency animal medical technicians Julie Bolchalk and Ruthie Jesus worked with the Chandler Fire Department to coordinate a speedy rescue, according to the AHS.

The AHS said the 10-week-old kitten was “severely hypothermic and exhausted but readily ate wet food.” He has since been named Augustus Gloop and continues his recovery at an AHS foster home.
