By Ashish Srivastava: A 5-year-old girl was seriously injured after her neighbour’s pet dog attacked her in Lucknow. The incident took place when the girl was playing outside her house near Tulsi Complex in Thana Bazaar Khala area. Suddenly, the neighbour’s dog, a French Mastiff, broke free and attacked the girl, severely injuring her back, thighs, and legs.
The girl was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she received initial treatment. Her condition is now stable. The police have asked for a complaint from the family, but they have not yet filed any formal complaint. The girl is being treated at the expenses of the dog owner.
Following the incident, the Municipal Corporation sent a team to investigate the case and found that the dog had not been licensed. The owner will now be penalized for not having the required license. The Municipal Corporation has also advised against keeping dangerous breed dogs as pets including American Pitbull, Rottweiler, Siberian Husky, Doberman, Pinscher, French Mastiff, and Boxer.
